Unauthenticated title disclosure via missing controller authorization

Published Jul 21, 2023 · Updated Nov 20, 2025

Information disclosure in GitLab EE 16.0 through 16.0.5 and 16.1.0 allows remote attackers to read private issue and merge request titles. The records action in the value stream analytics controller serializes entries without applying the access-control check used by its index action. An unauthenticated request referencing a public project's value stream can expose confidential issue titles or merge request titles from repositories restricted to project members.
