CVE-2023-31006Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated DSC crash via null pointer dereference

Published Feb 3, 2024 · Updated Nov 3, 2025

Denial of service in IBM Security Verify Access Appliance and Docker 10.0.0.0 through 10.0.6.1 allows remote authenticated users to crash DSC. The DSessWrapper::ping method in libamdsc_interface.so dereferences a null pointer while processing a crafted XML external entity in a SOAP ping request. A valid DSC client TLS certificate and access to the DSC endpoint on TCP port 8443 are required; exploitation stops the DSC instance and interrupts authentication.
