CVE-2023-30997

Root privilege escalation through undisclosed access controls

Published Jun 27, 2024 · Updated Nov 3, 2025

Privilege escalation in IBM Security Access Manager Docker 10.0.0.0 through 10.0.7.1 allows local users to obtain root access. IBM identifies improper access controls but has not published the affected component or the operation that mishandles access control. A local low-privilege account is required, and successful exploitation grants complete root control of the container.
