CVE-2023-30986

Code execution via malformed STP parser input

Published May 9, 2023 · Updated Jan 28, 2025

Memory corruption in Siemens Solid Edge SE2023 before V223.0 Update 3 allows remote attackers to execute code through a crafted STP file. The STP parser fails to validate user-supplied file data before processing it, producing a memory-corruption condition in the current process. Exploitation requires a user to visit malicious content or open the file and grants code execution with that process's privileges.
