CVE-2023-30985

Information disclosure via OBJ buffer over-read

Published May 9, 2023 · Updated Jan 28, 2025

Out-of-bounds read in Siemens Solid Edge SE2023 before 223.0 Update 3 allows remote attackers to disclose data via a crafted OBJ file. The OBJ parser accepts crafted data that drives a read past the end of an allocated buffer, exposing adjacent process memory. Exploitation requires the target to visit a malicious page or open the file; the standalone flaw provides information disclosure only.
