Stored XSS via unneutralized image attributes
Published Jul 10, 2023 · Updated Oct 21, 2024
Stored XSS in Palantir Technologies Foundry Frontend before 6.229.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in Slate. The Slate Query Dropdown menu stores input containing scripting elements in HTML IMG-tag attributes without correctly neutralizing them, so later rendering executes the payload. Exploitation requires a Foundry account, a viewer who opens the affected Slate content, and a bypass of Foundry's CSP; the published impact is limited to low confidentiality and integrity loss.
