CVE-2023-3095Network attack vector

Authenticated stored password disclosure via predictable item identifiers

Published Jun 4, 2023 · Updated Jan 8, 2025

Improper access control in Teampass before 3.0.9 allows remote authenticated users to read stored item passwords by submitting item IDs. The show_item_password handler trusts a client-supplied numeric item_id as the object selector instead of requiring the opaque per-item key introduced by the patch. Any signed-in user who can supply another item's identifier can obtain that item's stored password without the item's intended access restriction.
