Attachment disclosure via unchecked attachment UUID
Published Jun 6, 2023 · Updated Jan 7, 2025
Improper authorization in Palantir Technologies Foundry Comments before 2.249.0 allows remote authenticated users to read comment attachments. The attachment retrieval path accepts a previously discovered attachment UUID in an arbitrary comment without checking access against that comment's parent object. An authenticated Foundry account and knowledge of the target UUID are required, and the reported consequence is attachment disclosure only.
