Stored script execution via unescaped email subjects
Published Jul 12, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in photoboxone SMTP Mail 1.3.46 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute scripts through crafted email subjects. The saved-mail data list renders stored subject values without sufficient sanitization or output escaping. When Save Data SendMail is enabled, an unauthenticated sender can plant the subject, but execution requires access to the affected saved-mail page.
