Authenticated remote code execution via unsafe deserialization
Published May 9, 2023 · Updated Jan 28, 2025
Deserialization of untrusted data in Siemens Siveillance Video Management Server before listed hotfixes allows remote authenticated users to execute code. The Management Server accepts serialized data without sufficient validation, permitting attacker-controlled object data to reach code-execution paths. An authenticated network account is required; successful exploitation can compromise confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the server.
