CVE-2023-30898Network attack vector

Authenticated code execution via unsafe deserialization

Published May 9, 2023 · Updated Jan 28, 2025

Deserialization of untrusted data in Siemens Siveillance Video Event Server allows remote authenticated users to execute code. The Event Server reconstructs objects from supplied serialized data without sufficiently validating that data. A valid account and network access to the Event Server are required, and successful exploitation executes code on the server host.
