Authenticated command execution via unsanitized clone filename
Published Apr 28, 2023 · Updated Jan 30, 2025
OS command injection in AVideo before 12.4 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands through the CloneSite endpoint. The endpoint places a clone server's sqlFile value and configured cloneSiteURL directly into a wget command passed to exec() without shell-safe validation. An administrator must configure an attacker-controlled clone site and invoke cloning; successful exploitation runs commands with the web server's privileges.
