Authenticated SQL injection via unquoted filter property
Published Apr 27, 2023 · Updated Jan 30, 2025
SQL injection in Pimcore before 10.5.21 allows remote authenticated users to read, modify, or delete database data through the translations API. TranslationController::getGridFilterCondition concatenates the filter JSON's property value into an SQL condition as an unquoted identifier, while quoting only the value. The endpoint requires an authenticated administrator, and injected SQL executes with the application's database privileges.
