CVE-2023-30801Known exploitationNetwork attack vector

Remote command execution via default Web UI credentials

Published Oct 10, 2023 · Updated Nov 21, 2025

Default credentials in the qBittorrent Web UI through 4.5.5 allow remote attackers to authenticate and execute operating system commands. The Web UI authentication path accepts the shared adminadmin password because initialization does not require the administrator to replace it. Exposure requires an enabled, network-reachable Web UI; successful login grants access to the external-program feature, which runs attacker-supplied commands with qBittorrent's privileges.
