Stored script execution via crafted shortcode
Published Aug 15, 2023 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Stored XSS in Blubrry PowerPress 10.0.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute script through a crafted shortcode. Shortcode processing accepts contributor-controlled content that is stored and later rendered without sufficient neutralization; public sources do not identify the specific attribute or function. Contributor-level access is required, and exploitation occurs when another user opens the affected WordPress content, exposing that user's browser session to attacker-controlled script.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
