CVE-2023-30766Network attack vector

Remote command execution via undocumented debug functionality

Published Jun 13, 2023 · Updated Jan 6, 2025

Hidden functionality in KbDevice KB-AHR and KB-IRIP DVRs allows remote authenticated users to execute OS commands or alter settings. The undocumented debug function exposes command execution and configuration operations, but its endpoint, request format, and input handling remain undisclosed. JPCERT/CC's analysis assumes valid low-privilege credentials obtained through a companion authentication flaw; successful use grants control of the recorder's operating system and settings.
