Stored script execution via unsanitized folder metadata
Published Jun 2, 2023 · Updated Jan 8, 2025
Stored XSS in TSolucio coreBOS before 8 allows remote authenticated users to run script through malicious Documents folder metadata. SaveFolder.php URL-decodes foldername and folderdesc request values and stores them without sanitization, causing later folder views to render injected markup. Low-privileged access and a separate user viewing the saved folder are required; the script then runs in that user's session and can read or alter accessible application data.
