Persistent identifier disclosure via missing permission
Published Sep 6, 2023 · Updated Sep 26, 2024
Sensitive information exposure in SVCAgent on Samsung Mobile Devices with Android 11–13 allows local users to read unresettable identifiers. SVCAgent fails to enforce a permission before returning persistent device identifiers; Samsung has not disclosed the affected interface or code path. Local execution on an affected device is required, and the disclosed values persist across resets, enabling durable device correlation.
