Physical access to stored authentication data
Published Jul 6, 2023 · Updated Nov 19, 2024
Improper access control in Samsung Pass before 4.2.03.1 allows physically proximate attackers to access stored data on an unlocked device. Samsung has disclosed only that the affected unlocked-device state lacks proper access control; no component, request path, or code-level operation is public. Physical possession of an unlocked Galaxy phone in the affected state is required, and the documented consequence is access to Samsung Pass data.
