Improper input validation in Samsung Mobile Devices before SMR Jul-2023 Release 1 allows local users to trigger an out-of-bounds read. OnOemServiceMode in libsec-ril fails to apply the required validation check before processing service-mode input, causing the read to exceed its intended bounds. A low-privileged local context is required, and the documented consequence is limited to an out-of-bounds read with no reported memory write or code execution.
