CVE-2023-3065Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Account impersonation via trusted authentication response fields

Published Jun 5, 2023 · Updated Jan 8, 2025

Improper authentication in Mobatime AMXGT-100 1.3.20 and earlier allows remote attackers to impersonate users through its API. The mobile client trusts return_i1 as the user identifier and return_b1 and return_b2 as success flags, then authorizes later JSON requests with that identifier. An attacker who can intercept and alter the app's server response can set those fields to assume another user's identity and access that account's data and permitted features.
