CVE-2023-30631Network attack vector

Service interruption via ineffective PUSH disable setting

Published Jun 14, 2023 · Updated Feb 13, 2025

Improper input validation in Apache Traffic Server 8.0.0 through 9.2.0 allows remote attackers to interrupt service via HTTP PUSH requests. The proxy.config.http.push_method_enabled setting fails to reject PUSH when disabled, but Apache has not published the responsible code path. Exposure requires ip_allow to permit PUSH; the default policy blocks it, and public records identify no failure mode beyond service interruption.
