Sensitive-output disclosure via misinitialized connection logger
Published Apr 21, 2023 · Updated Feb 4, 2025
Sensitive information exposure in Copado Kitchen-Terraform 7.0.0 and 7.0.1 allows local users to read Terraform output values. The kitchen converge path misinitializes its connection logger at info level, causing every Terraform output value, including sensitive values, to be written to ordinary terminal logs. Local access to logs produced during an operation is required, and the reported consequence is limited to confidentiality loss.
