CVE-2023-30615Network attack vector

Authenticated script execution via stored unneutralized input

Published May 25, 2023 · Updated Jan 16, 2025

Stored XSS in DFIR-IRIS iris-web before 2.2.1 allows remote authenticated users to run scripts when another user views affected content. The vendor identifies multiple persistent-input locations but has not disclosed the affected fields, rendering views, or exact neutralization error. Exploitation requires authentication, a victim to view the stored content, and the alerting feature for versions after 2.0.0; script execution can expose or alter data in that user's session.
