Cryptographic integrity loss via stale public key

Cryptographic key inconsistency in affected Node.js releases allows attackers to undermine application-level integrity via unspecified vectors. After setPrivateKey(), DiffieHellman.generateKeys() retains an existing public key instead of computing the public key corresponding to the new private key. Exposure requires application code to rely on generateKeys() to synchronize the key pair, producing unintended cryptographic results.
