CVE-2023-30564

Stored script execution via unvalidated device import

Published Jul 13, 2023 · Updated Oct 22, 2024

Stored XSS in BD Alaris Systems Manager 12.3 and earlier allows attackers to execute scripts through a malicious device import. The Device Import Function accepts file content without input validation, allowing an embedded payload to persist and execute when rendered. Exploitation requires adjacent-network access, low privileges, and a Systems Manager user to load the payload; it exposes session data and permits limited content alteration without interrupting service.
