Dataset tampering via missing authenticity verification
Published Jul 13, 2023 · Updated Oct 22, 2024
Insufficient dataset integrity checking in BD Alaris Guardrails Editor 12.1.2 and earlier allows attackers to misconfigure GRE datasets. The Editor accepts a GRE dataset file passed from Systems Manager without adequately verifying its authenticity, allowing altered content to be distributed to PCUs. Reachability requires a low-privileged adjacent-network attacker to pivot from Systems Manager and user confirmation before an undesired dataset can be activated on a PCU.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
