Physical configuration tampering via unauthenticated connection
Published Jul 13, 2023 · Updated Oct 31, 2024
Improper authentication in BD Alaris PC Unit Model 8015 12.1.3 and earlier allows physically proximate attackers to modify its configuration. The PCU configuration interface accepts changes over a physical connection without authenticating the connected party. Physical access permits changes to firmware, datasets, network credentials, and logs on one PCU; resulting integrity failures impair functionality and require replacement in severe cases.
