Database disclosure via unescaped db_name query concatenation
Published Apr 18, 2023 · Updated Feb 6, 2025
SQL injection in Archery 1.9.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read connected database data through the table_list endpoint. The endpoint passes an unescaped db_name value into get_group_tables_by_db, which concatenates it into MSSQL and Oracle queries before execution. Exploitation requires low-privileged application access and knowledge of an Archery instance name; the documented impact is database information disclosure.
