Authenticated database disclosure via unescaped db_name
Published Apr 18, 2023 · Updated Feb 5, 2025
SQL injection in Archery 1.9.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read data from connected Oracle databases. The optimize_sqltuningadvisor method forwards the db_name parameter to oracle.py's sqltuningadvisor method, which concatenates it into an executable SQL statement without neutralization. Low-privileged access, knowledge of an Archery instance name, and a configured Oracle connection are required; the consequence is database information disclosure.
