Authenticated file read via unblocked LOAD_FILE
Published Apr 25, 2023 · Updated Feb 3, 2025
SQL injection in PrestaShop before 1.7.8.9 and 8.0.0 through 8.0.3 allows remote authenticated users to read operating-system files. The SQL Manager's RequestSqlCore validator omits LOAD_FILE from its unauthorized-function list and fails to reject that function nested in a SELECT expression. Access to Advanced Options and Database is required; the database service account's file permissions bound which sensitive files can be disclosed.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
