CVE-2023-30540Network attack vector

Poll data disclosure via incomplete history purge

Published Apr 17, 2023 · Updated Mar 3, 2025

Information disclosure in Nextcloud Talk 15.0.0 through 15.0.4 allows remote authenticated users to retrieve purged poll data. The chat-history purge path deleted chat messages but left associated polls and poll votes in storage, so the poll API continued returning them. The requester must join the conversation after its history was purged, and the disclosed content is limited to historical poll data.
