CVE-2023-30534Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated object injection via unsanitized filter deserialization

Published Sep 5, 2023 · Updated Feb 13, 2025

Insecure deserialization in Cacti before 1.2.25 allows remote authenticated users to process crafted filter data as PHP objects. The host_new_graphs_save function in graphs_new.php deserializes selected_graphs_array, while form_actions in managers.php deserializes selected_items, without using Cacti's safe deserializer. Authentication is required, and the bundled phpseclib gadget chain lacks required files, so a vanilla installation has no demonstrated object-injection consequence.
