Unauthenticated build triggering via unprotected webhook
Published Apr 12, 2023 · Updated Feb 7, 2025
Missing authorization in Jenkins Quay.io trigger Plugin 0.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to trigger repository-linked builds. The /quayio-webhook/ endpoint accepts repository notifications without authenticating the sender, then schedules matching configured jobs. Network access to the endpoint is sufficient, and successful requests start attacker-selected repository workflows with their configured build effects.
