Contributor-level script execution via azh_post shortcode
Published Jun 2, 2023 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in Page Builder with Image Map by AZEXO 1.27.133 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts via azh_post. The azh_post shortcode accepts contributor-controlled content without sufficient input sanitization and emits it without adequate output escaping. Contributor privileges are required to store a payload; the script runs in the browser of any user who opens the injected page, enabling actions and data access within that user's WordPress session.
