CVE-2023-30501Network attack vector

Authenticated root command execution via CLI

Published May 16, 2023 · Updated Jan 22, 2025

Command execution in the Aruba EdgeConnect Enterprise Software CLI allows remote authenticated users to run commands as root. HPE identifies the command-line interface as the locus but has not published the affected command or the operation that mishandles its input. Administrative CLI access over the network is required, and successful exploitation grants complete control of the underlying operating system.
