Administrator script execution via unescaped debug parameters
Published Jun 22, 2023 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Reflected XSS in WPForms Lite and Pro 1.8.1.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute script in an administrator's browser. The WPFORMS_DEBUG page outputs attacker-controlled request parameters without sanitization or contextual escaping. Exploitation requires that the debug constant be enabled and a high-privilege user visit a crafted request; the script then runs in that user's site context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
