CVE-2023-30463Network attack vector

Service interruption via ICMPv6 allocation overflow

Published Apr 19, 2023 · Updated Feb 5, 2025

Integer overflow in pico_ipv6_alloc in Altran picoTCP 1.7.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to corrupt memory via ICMPv6. The routine overflows its packet-size arithmetic when processing an ICMPv6 packet larger than 65,495 bytes, corrupting memory during allocation. An unauthenticated network peer can cause service interruption when Ethernet support permits a packet above that threshold.
