Service interruption via unbounded statement archive generation
Published Apr 28, 2023 · Updated Jan 30, 2025
Denial of service in ebankIT before 7 allows remote attackers to block page loads through crafted e-statement download requests. The DownloadEStatement.ashx handler accepts more than 100 comma-separated EStatementsIds values and synchronously builds a ZIP archive for roughly 60 seconds without enforcing a limit. No authentication or user interaction is required, and repeated requests every 30 seconds interrupt service for all users.
