Authenticated service interruption via crafted table query
Published Jul 8, 2023 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
Improper input validation in IBM Db2 10.5, 11.1, and 11.5 allows remote authenticated users to interrupt service with a crafted table query. IBM has not disclosed how the query-processing path mishandles input for the affected table types. Reachability requires a database connection and a specially crafted query; exploitation interrupts availability without reported data disclosure or modification.
