Database service interruption
Published Jul 8, 2023 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
Improper input validation in IBM Db2 10.5, 11.1, and 11.5 allows remote attackers to interrupt database service with a crafted table query. IBM identifies certain tables as the query locus but explicitly withholds the affected functionality and reproduction details, leaving the exact validation failure undisclosed. Network reachability is required; IBM's current CVSS assessment lists no privileges, while its 2023 bulletin lists low privileges, and the consequence is limited to service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
