Sensitive-data disclosure through undisclosed cryptographic flaws
Published Apr 29, 2023 · Updated Jan 30, 2025
Information disclosure in IBM SDK, Java Technology Edition 8.0.7.0 through 8.0.7.11 allows remote attackers to read sensitive data. IBM has disclosed only that combined flaws in JSSE and IBMJCEPlus expose the data; the incorrect cryptographic operation remains unpublished. Exposure requires the runtime to act as a TLS server with IBMJCEPlus ranked above IBMJCE, the default order for 8.0.7.0 and later.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=8.0.7.0 <=8.0.7.11
