CVE-2023-30433Network attack vector

Phishing redirects via unrestricted AAC target URLs

Published Jul 19, 2023 · Updated Oct 21, 2024

Open redirect in the AAC module of IBM Security Verify Access Docker 10.0 allows remote attackers to redirect users to malicious sites. The default AAC configuration leaves sps.targetURLWhitelist unrestricted, so attacker-controlled target URLs are accepted as redirect destinations. Exploitation requires a victim to follow a crafted trusted-looking link; the redirect can support phishing and disclosure of information entered at the destination.
