Unauthenticated BMC compromise via stack buffer overflow
Published Jan 9, 2024 · Updated Jun 17, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in AMI MegaRAC SP-X 12 before 12.7 and 13 before 13.6 allows remote attackers to compromise the BMC. AMI has not disclosed the affected BMC service, request field, or unsafe copy operation that overwrites the stack. The target must be reachable on an adjacent network; successful exploitation can expose or alter BMC data or interrupt its service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
