Remote code execution via unauthenticated firmware update
Published May 4, 2023 · Updated Jan 29, 2025
Remote code execution in GARO Wallbox GLB, GTB, and GTC 189 and earlier allows man-in-the-middle attackers to control the device. The web console exposes its firmware update interface without authentication, accepts an attacker-modified update package URL, and deploys the package's update.war content. An attacker able to intercept update traffic can substitute a crafted package that installs a JSP endpoint and executes commands with device-management permissions.
