Unauthenticated code execution via unchecked page parameter
Published Apr 24, 2023 · Updated Feb 4, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda AC15 firmware 15.03.05.19 allows remote attackers to execute code or crash the router. The sub_E2F4 function passes a user-provided page parameter into a stack buffer without checking its length, allowing crafted overflow data to corrupt the stack. No authentication or user interaction is required; a crafted page request can interrupt service or redirect execution in the firmware context.
