Published May 18, 2023 · Updated Jan 23, 2025
Arbitrary file upload in PerfreeBlog 3.1.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute code through the theme editor. ThemeController accepts attacker-controlled file content, while its rename operation permits path traversal that moves the file outside the theme directory. Backend access is required; placing a cron entry executes commands with the service account's privileges.
