Unauthenticated file disclosure via path traversal
Published May 19, 2023 · Updated Jan 21, 2025
Path traversal in Webbax Custom Exporter 1.7.20 and earlier allows remote attackers to read arbitrary server files via download.php. The download endpoint passes the untrusted file parameter directly into file handling without reducing it to a basename or restricting it to intended export types. No authentication or user interaction is required; a crafted path can expose personal data, module source, configuration secrets, or other readable files.
