Unauthenticated SQL injection via uncast category ID
Published May 11, 2023 · Updated Jan 27, 2025
SQL injection in PosThemes Search Products for PrestaShop 1.7 and earlier allows remote attackers to read or alter store data via HTTP. PosSearch::find() concatenates the HTTP-controlled id_category value into a SQL WHERE clause without an integer cast, permitting injected statements. No authentication or user interaction is required, the endpoint remains reachable when the module is disabled, and exploitation can expose payment data or grant store administration.
