Administrator credential disclosure via unauthenticated backup export
Published Aug 4, 2023 · Updated Oct 17, 2024
Information disclosure in ASSMANN DIGITUS Plug&View HT-IP211HDP firmware 2.000.022 allows remote attackers to obtain administrator credentials. The unauthenticated /cgi-bin/hi3510/backup.cgi endpoint generates /tmpfs/config_backup.bin with camera settings and credentials stored in cleartext. Any network-reachable attacker can download and decompress that backup, recover the administrator username and password, and access the camera account.
